Carl Hines is a pianist/keyboardist who often plays solo piano in restaurants such as the Marker at the Adam's Mark Hotel, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, Van's in Muncie. He often appears solo or with his Trio at such venues at the Arts Garden, Indianapolis Museum of Art, and many other types of receptions, concerts and parties.

A concert by Carmel Brass typically contains something for everyone. Because brass instruments have been so important in music over the last four hundred years, a wide variety of musical styles can be presented. Classical to rock, jazz to folk, composed to improvised, Europe of 1690 to Hollywood of 1990 -- its all there in a concert by Chamber Brass Choir. Throughout his career, trombonist Craig Parmerlee has created hundreds of arrangements for various organizations and ensembles to help them realize their musical visions. Today's technology provides him an opportunity to arrange the world's most beautiful songs the way he feels them. Today, using advanced computer technology, he has compiled a library of arrangements of the most popular tunes of the past 80 years. This technology allows him to perform these tunes live, accompanied by the computer-based arrangements. Hot Horns – “New Orleans” inspired Horn Band is a vibrant, award winning, internationally acclaimed, professional touring ensemble. Hot Horns regularly travels the United States presenting concerts, interactive educational concerts and master-classes in concert halls, theatres, and at primary and secondary schools, and universities. Led by trumpeter, Glen Johnson, Hot Horns is the premiere educational ensemble of its kind. Unique to Hot Horns is its all-inclusive instrumentation and its burnin' arrangements. Hot Horns incorporates its trademark combinations of various brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments, all performed by six friendly, enthusiastic musicians with backgrounds in education. The group performs various genres of music from classical to jazz, rock to pop and more, thanks to the talents of various arrangers.

Hot Horns is launching into a new and exciting musical journey, forging an innovative, entertaining way to perform all music. Hot Horns is raising the bar to a superior level by performing brass quintet music ranging from “Bach to Rock” with the addition of non-traditional brass quintet instruments. Hot Horns ambition is to change “Sound” through instrumentation so the audience will have a unique and different from the normal aural experience, while preserving the quality, complexity, and excitement of all music.

Hot Horns is affiliated with many different Arts Councils from coast to coast. Hot Horns in keeping with the traditional brass quintet format, can now take the student / teacher educational interactive experience to a higher level. Hot Horns can now utilize and demonstrate to the student’s woodwind instruments and how they are used in conjunction with the brass instruments, and percussion. These new elements when joined together enable Hot Horns to extend their reach to additional students and expand their teaching capabilities through master classes and educational performances.

Hot Horns mission, is to preserve and perform to the highest level, all varieties of music ranging from “Bach to Rock.” Hot Horns professionalism, musicianship, technical virtuosity, entertainment, integrity, and education are unmatched and unchallenged. The ensemble was originally founded in 1995. Since that time, Hot Horns has toured all lower 48 states and has toured Korea (1999), received first prize at the New York Brass Conference – International Brass Quintet Competition (2003).

Since 1977, Indy Express Band has been a popular wedding band and party band with musical styles from Top 40 to Big Band. The band is made up of six professional musicians. Instrumentation includes female and male vocals, saxophones, flutes, keyboards, guitar, bass, drums and percussion.

Members of Indy Express Band have provided music for entertainers such as Jay Leno, Dionne Warwick, Sandi Patti, and Al Jarreau as well as performing music for radio and television commercials.

The Lockerbie String Quartet has delighted Midwest audiences since 1982, concertizing as one of the premiere string quartets based in Indiana. The quartet has held residencies at the Indianapolis Museum of Art and at Butler University, as well as being a participant in the Indiana Arts Commission’s Touring Program.

Players in the quartet are: Kara Day Spurlock, violin; Ginny Womack, violin; and Donna Lively Clark, viola; who together perform in the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra. The cellist, Kurt Fowler, is professor of cello at Indiana State University, and a member of the Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra.

Mariah Wind Quintet performs beautiful music appropriate for any event, designing presentations individually for recitals, educational programs, and social gatherings. After fifteen years performing together, this colorful ensemble featuring flute, oboe, clarinet, horn, and bassoon has built a repertoire of diverse international wind quintet literature in addition to transcriptions of music from ragtime and jazz, movies and Broadway shows, and opera. A repertoire list is available on request and we will be happy to assist with programming suggestions.

Weddings and religious services are well served by this unique instrumentation, as our many delighted patrons will verify. We offer preludes, postludes, and processionals, special requests and distinctive and reflective music.

Our recitals include a vast repertoire selection, including music written originally for wind quintet instrumentation and transcriptions of familiar music. We bring out entertaining and informative aspects of the music we perform, and we enjoy involving the audience in appropriate pieces which enliven our performances.

In our school programs, Mariah musicians demonstrate the instruments of the woodwind quintet with solo pieces for all five instruments. We explain how the tone is produced, and provide a close-up look soloists. It is not unusual to find included onstage "instruments" from the kitchen and garden. We reinforce proper concert etiquette in a short suite of five movements, with instructions about when to applaud. With our rendition of "Liberty Bell March" a favorite teacher or principal may be asked to solo with the group and ring the "Liberty Bell", joining us for bows in the end. Workshops for bands include personal and small group instruction with help on the basics of wind instrument performance- breath support, practice routines, solo repertoire and reed making for the double reeds. A workshop may conclude with a concert including selected students.

Monika Herzig has been performing as a professional jazz pianist for more than fifteen years and has completed a Doctorate in Music Education and Jazz Studies at Bloomington's Indiana University in 1997. Currently she’s a member of the IU Music Faculty and maintains a busy performance schedule with three regular performance nights in Indianapolis as well as regional and international feature appearances. The Monika Herzig Acoustic Project showcases Herzig's award-winning skills as composer/ arranger and jazz pianist. For private and corporate events, Monika offers a wide range of entertainment options from solo piano, duos, trios, to dance combos as well as organ/ piano music for ceremonies. The Keynote Brass consists of six professional musicians who hail from the greater Indianapolis area. Since its inception in 1993, the ensemble has been heard in concert throughout the Mid-West. Keynote musicians have performed with major symphony orchestras in Indianapolis, Boston, Cincinnati, Hawaii, Dallas, Fort Worth and London. They have also appeared locally with the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, the Anderson, Lafayette and Terre Haute Symphony Orchestras and the Fort Wayne Philharmonic. When not performing with the ensemble, Keynote members remain active as free-lance musicians, recording artists and teachers.

The Mike Lucas Band is, in reality, several bands ranging from solo piano to piano-bass duo, from trio, quartet or quintet to a 6-piece Dixieland Jazz Band, a 7-piece Dance Band to a 15-piece Big Band. All of these ensembles are available with a featured vocalist.

Mike's primary style of music is jazz/swing standards but other styles are offered as well. The arrangements for the 7-piece and 15-piece bands were written by Al Cobine and other top quality arrangers. The members of the Mike Lucas Bands are among the finest musicians in the country, having performed with Henry Mancini, Johnny Mathis, Andy Williams, Perry Como, Natalie Cole and many others.

For the past 20 years Daniel has been performing trumpet in and around the Indianapolis area. He can be heard at local churches performing as a soloist or in an ensemble. As a member of the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra (since 1985), he has played for musical stars ranging from Pavarotti to Dennis DeYoung.
